About the Instructors:
Paolo “Pants” & Lauren “LolliPop”

Lauren "LolliPop"
With a solid, 14 year background in Ballet, Tap and Jazz, Lauren began teaching Ballroom, Latin and Swing with Aurthur Murray Dance Studios of Charleston, SC in 2000.  After socially dancing the Carolina Shag for several years, she was inspired  to direct her focus on other dances in the Swing family, mainly Lindy Hop and Balboa. Since returning to NY, Lauren has performed with Paolo throughout NYC and Westchester,  also with The Lindy Hop All-Stars, and most recently was featured on NY1 Television.

Paolo "Pants"
Specializing in swing partner dances since 1994, Paolo has made several television appearances, as well as toured with Wynton Marsalis and The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra,“Swing Dance America” and “Forever Swing” The Big Band Musical Revue.  A brief return to competitions in 2003 brought Paolo First Place at the New York Lindy Hop Open Swing championships but he is probably most proud of having won one of the final two American Swing Dance Championships.   Drawing inspiration from dancers of the original Ballrooms of Harlem, such as Frankie Manning and Dean Collins, today Paolo continues to exercise these famous dances which he and Lauren will be performing and teaching.
